Vic: Motorcyclist dies in collision

MELBOURNE, Dec 6 AAP - A motorcyclist has died after a multi-vehicle collision in western Victoria.

A member of a biker group travelling west around a bend along the Princes Highway in Aringa collided with an east-bound Audi on Saturday about 5.20pm (AEDT), police said.

The 43-year-old man from Talbot died at the scene.

After the initial collision, a second rider collided with the car.

The 49-year-old man from Yarraville was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.

Warrnambool police are speaking to witnesses, including the Audi driver from Melbourne aged in his 50s.

The death brings Victoria's road toll to 285, compared to 295 at the same time last year.
